Fortitude Re Colleagues Dressed in Blue Donating $50,000 to Bermuda Zoological Society to Further Environmental Education

HAMILTON, Bermuda – October 20, 2025 —Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd., (“Fortitude Re”) today announced a $50,000 donation to the Bermuda Zoological Society (BZS) through its Fortitude Re 4 Good community partnership program. The funding will advance environmental education programs designed to provide students with learning opportunities that involve real-world conservation experiences.

The Bermuda Zoological Society, a registered nonprofit, supports the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum, and Zoo in promoting environmental stewardship. Its school-based and field education programs bring students into natural habitats such as Trunk Island, Micro forests, and Bermuda’s coastal ecosystems, helping them understand how local biodiversity supports the island’s wellbeing.

Fortitude Re’s donation will fund BZS’s education programs, including Kids on the Reef and other interactive experiences that give students hands-on exposure to environmental science. All contributed funds will directly support the development and delivery of student programming

“Fortitude Re is proud to partner with the Bermuda Zoological Society and invest in educational initiatives that nurture curiosity, hands-on learning, and a deeper understanding of the ecosystems we depend on,” said Amanda Stewart, SVP, Head of Employee Experience. “By supporting programs that bring students into Bermuda’s natural spaces, we’re helping build knowledge and inspiring care for the environment.”

“We are incredibly grateful to Fortitude Re for this generous $50,000 donation, which will directly enhance our ability to connect Bermuda’s students with the island’s remarkable natural environments,” said Collin Anderson, BZS Board Vice President. “This partnership enables us to expand our education programs even further, and provide more young people with meaningful, hands-on conservation experiences. Fortitude Re’s commitment to environmental education will help inspire the next generation of environmental stewards, who will protect and care for Bermuda’s precious ecosystems for years to come and aligns with our mission to inspire appreciation and care for island environments.”

The collaboration with BZS reflects Fortitude Re 4 Good’s focus on long-term community partnerships that enhance learning, promote sustainability, and strengthen local impact.
